Biography

Glorianne Straza has over 17 years experience in massage therapy.

In high school she had always wanted to "work with her hands" but there was no woodworking class available for women at that time. Early on she had known what an "acromion process and coccyx" was without any studying. During her brief stint as a court reporter, she found that other reporters called her for help on their medical term transcriptions. Even a handwriting analysis stated "touch very important to you."

After years of executive secretarial work and part-time college courses earned her a BS in business administration and a minor in computer science, she was a mainframe computer programmer for over a decade. She finally found her niche in massage where she can use her sensitivity (not appreciated in an office environment) and years of self-study of holistic alternatives which has given her better health than she had in her twenties. She has close to 600 hours of classes in massage to bolster her innate talent and finds massage more rewarding than anything she has ever done and garnering her more appreciation than she has ever earned working in an office.

She initially had her own business in Chicago for three years. After all that time of preaching to clients about following their hearts she "put her money where her mouth was" and moved to Key West. After 6 years, she still has clients calling and asking her if she will ever move back to Chicago.

Glorianne also tried her hand at abstract painting, ceramic sculpture and photograhy and sells her paintings and sculpture out of her studio (also sold out of 2 Chicago galleries) and her photography out of Guild Hall Gallery on Duval in Key West. She never took an art class in her life because she hated drawing but loved color and wanted a certain kind of abstract for her living quarters. She had a client say that he didn't like abstract but he liked Glorianne's work.

Her Mission Statement is: to use all my talents, especially those of creativity and enthusiastic rebellion, to inspire myself and others to live lives of peace, love and joy, doing what they love.
